Hello new second graders!  I am so excited to meet you!  I have already begun preparing for our year together.  In fact, right now, I am picking out fun supplies and decorations for our classroom.  I am sure you are wondering a lot of things about second grade.  Here are a few details you may want to know for those of you who like to plan ahead (like myself!).

1. Our Open House will be on Wednesday, August 27 from 6:30-7:30pm.  I can’t wait to see you there!  I will have a packet of information for you and even a little surprise for you to keep!  Also, your parents will get to sign up for fun ways to help us out!

2. Here is a list of school supplies you will want to have if possible:

* small pencil box (5×8)

* one dozen sharpened pencils

* glue sticks (at least 3)

* one inch clear view hardcover binder (exactly one inch please!)

* one pair of headphones/earbuds in a baggy labeled with your name

* any extras you would like (special markers, crayons, etc.)

* an extra pair of tennis shoes to keep at school for gym
