Hello! It’s so nice to meet you! My name is Mrs. Veldman and I teach pre-kindergarten at the Early Childhood Center in the Hudsonville School District. I have been a teacher for 25 years and all of them have been lower elementary! We have so much fun learning so many things in pre-k, I think it really is the BEST place to be!
Just a little information about myself….I am happily married and have 3 wonderful children. My husband is in Administration at Coopersville Area Public Schools. Our children are a freshman at Hope College, a junior at Hope College and one who is continuing graduate school at GVSU. They do keep us busy with all of their activities! Oh, I almost forgot….another important member of our family is our dog, Sadie.
I graduated from Aquinas College with a Bachelor of Science degree–I was a math and science major with a reading minor. I have also earned a Master’s degree in elementary education from Grand Valley State University. Being a teacher means always learning….I still enjoy taking classes every now and then. I am always excited to take new ideas and strategies into the classroom and watch them work!
Thanks for stopping by—I hope you enjoy the rest of the BLOG entries.
