  • Please take the time to read my welcome letter with your first grader.
  • Our Open House is on Wednesday, September 2nd from 6:30-7:30.  I would LOVE to meet your first grader and introduce them to our classroom that night!

Believe it or not, we will soon be seeing the Back-to-School ads in the papers.  If you are as excited to start a new school year as I am, you may want to check out those sales.

The attached supply list will let you know what things would be helpful for your 1st grader.

If you find some good deals and make some purchases, store them away in a closet and jump right back in to enjoying the rest of your summer!!

The following is information about the Basket Raffle that will be held during conference week. Thank you in advance for your participation….

Mrs. Veldman’s Classroom

Parents,

Classroom Baskets are back and we need your help.
Each class is being asked to donate items toward a themed class basket. Mrs. Veldman’s class selected Birthday Party Basket. All the baskets will be raffled off on Thursday, March 5th. Proceeds from this raffle will be going back to your child’s classroom. These baskets will be on display March 2nd-4th,, during the school day and at conferences.
Cost for a ticket is $1. You or your child can purchase tickets during lunch time or conferences, when they are on display. Please come and try your luck on winning a basket!
Your child can bring in their donation to their class anytime between Feb 9th and Feb 27rd. Each classroom will have a box to drop off basket donations.
Listed below are some donation ideas to assist you. You are also very welcome to make a cash/check donation if you’d rather.
