About Mrs. Veldman…..
Hello! It’s so nice to meet you! My name is Mrs. Veldman and I teach 1st grade at Georgetown Elementary in the Hudsonville School District. I have been a teacher for 18 years and 17 of them have been spent working with fabulous first graders! We have so much fun learning so many things in first grade…..I think it really is the BEST place to be!
Just a little information about myself….I am happily married and have 3 children. My husband is in Administration at the school that my children attend. Our children are in 4th grade, 6th grade and 9th grade. They do keep us busy with all of their activities! Oh, I almost forgot….another important member of our family is our dog, Buster.
I graduated from Aquinas College with a Bachelor of Science degree–I was a math and science major with a reading minor. I have also earned a Master’s degree in elementary education from Grand Valley State University. Being a teacher means always learning….I still enjoy taking classes every now and then. I am always excited to take new ideas and strategies into the classroom and watch them work!
Thanks for stopping by—I hope you enjoy the rest of the BLOG entries.
